Skiing
A specially designed fairytale playground with a magic carpet (an escalator in the snow), a ski merry-go-round, slide, fairytale figures, bouncy castle and an Indian reservation helps the children learn through fun and enjoyment. Every week there is a children’s Olympics and prize giving.
Ski Touring
Ski touring will show you a breathtaking new world of adventure in unspoiled nature beside the prepared slopes on the Gern, Joel, Lämpersberg or on the Lanerköpfl.
For a qualified guide, please contact the ski schools. On Wednesday and Saturday, weather permitting, ski tours will be organized.
Snowboarding
Whether beginner or advanced, Freestyler, Freerider or Alpine-boarder, everyone can find what they want on over 65 kms of piste.
A funpark specifically for snowboards is on the Schatzberg at the Thalerkogel lift. There you will find a Pro-jump, Quaterpipe, High Jump, Snake, Wave, Fun-Box and a 90m halfpipe to enjoy, „the higher the jump, the better the feeling“. The fun park in Auffach has been awarded the three hats. This is the highest award that can be given to an area specially prepared for snowboarders.
Tobogganing
Tobogganing during the day is recommended on the 4 km long toboggan run from the middle station of the Schatzberg cable car down to Auffach (toboggan hire available).
Night tobogganing is organized once a week at the Stenzerlift in Niederau, for information phone 05339 8212.
Every Wednesday and Thursday it is organized next to the night skiing on the slopes at the Roggenboden above Oberau. Every toboggan is fitted with special skies. Other evenings can be arranged upon request, for more information phone 0664 1254031.
